OUR HISTORY
It all began on Hisingen Island over 30 years ago, when two young handball players, Jörgen Björk and Kenneth Larsson, were strategizing their next win on the court. Unbeknownst to them, their teamwork and shared values would set the foundation for something much greater decades later.
Fast forward 20 years, Jörgen, now an experienced entrepreneur, crossed paths with Kenneth. The reunion reignited their mutual passion for innovation, entrepreneurship, and giving back to the community that had shaped them. United by a vision to merge cutting-edge technology with meaningful impact, the duo set out to establish a company deeply rooted in the spirit of Hisingen.
The result was Hisland, a name blending Hisingen Island’s industrial heritage with a forward-thinking global perspective. Starting with engineering and management services, the company quickly expanded its offerings to include training, offshore wind energy, and solutions for industries such as automotive, manufacturing, and energy. The company’s growth reflected not only its expertise but also its commitment to creating value with a personal touch.
